Jackson Square

I wanna get my shoes on down to Jackson Square.

We can do just as we choose when we are there.

Sipping mint juleps as we sit and talk

then we’ll take a stroll on that old moon walk.

Esplanade and canal and in between

I love the French Quarter down in New Orleans

We pass the old  French Market and Napoleon House

The riverboat calliope is blowin’ loud.

The river road plantations and the old oak trees

The Spanish moss is swaying gently in the breeze

The road is long when you are out on Pontchartrain

But soon you’ll be back in old New Orleans again

The Humphreys, Fats Domino, and Doctor John

The grand parade on Bourbon Street on Mardis Gras.

We passed some good enjoys down in that crescent town

Better food more festive mood just can’t be found

The Cajun and the Creole folks will welcome you

With étouffée, and jambalaya, and boudin too.

Life is Bittersweet

You take life as it comes

You do with it what you must

Sometimes fate will smile on you

Sometimes life isn’t just

Enjoy what you can

of this life that is so fleet

life is cruel and life is kind

Life is bittersweet

Life is bittersweet

Life is bittersweet

Sometimes you’re on top

Sometimes you go down low

Life is just a circular path

We take things as we go

Enjoy what you can

of this life that is so fleet

life is cruel and life is kind

Life is bittersweet

Life is bittersweet

Life is bittersweet
